Making Your Holidays Greener!

Greening up the holidays can be fun!

Here are a couple tips to keep in mind. . .
  • Instead of spending dollars on new wrapping paper that's just going to get thrown away, try using stuff you may already have. Newspaper wrapping can be jazzed up with a colorful bow or ribbon.

  • If you have a tree, it's probably already decorated by now. But for next year consider LED lights for the tree. In addition to being huge energy and money savers, they are less of a fire hazard because LED lights emit less heat.

  • There's nothing fun about a sick pet so keep your pets away from holiday plants like poinsettias and holly. They're toxic. Other toxic plants can be found at http://www.aspca.org/pet-care/poison-control/plants/

(Tell me how your holidays were greener this year and you'll be entered to win $500! Just e-mail me at aleazenby@trarnold.com)
